In the primary school programme, the focus is on encouraging inquiry and exploration. In addition to developing children’s competency in the skill of reading, writing, listening, speaking, problem-solving, observation, measurement and using information technology.
Our curriculum of excellence framework is a blend of Programmes with an integration of education for Global Citizenship. It offers an exciting, challenging, creative learning environment with an inter-disciplinary appreciation of languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies by learning them as individual and integrated subjects.
The individual needs of students are addressed in positive and inclusive ways. Integration of Information Technology into curriculum helps students understand its benefits, apart from teaching computers to students. Equal emphasis is laid on individual, small group and whole-group activities, to improve their ability to work at all levels. Physical Education is introduced for sports skills and health awareness. Exposure to team and individual sports encourages both a sense of team spirit and individual effort and accomplishment. The programme provides opportunities for students to participate in variety of curricular and co-curricular programmes, which help them become confident, self-reliant and self-disciplined. They also develop good communication skills, aimed at instilling in children an appreciation of the value of education, in addition to pragmatic skills and solutions.
